Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Alec Manoa, 25, 먹튀검증 hasn’t rejoined the team since his demotion to Triple-A, and the reason has been revealed.
Citing sources, Canadian sports outlet Sportsnet reported on Friday (July 25) that Manoa underwent an “extensive medical evaluation” in Toronto.
According to the report, Manoa was examined for soreness in his quadriceps and lower back, but no serious structural issues were found.

Manoa was sent down to Triple-A on Dec. 12, but hasn’t pitched a single inning in Triple-A. Manager John Schneider confirmed that Manoa was in Toronto, but didn’t provide any specifics, which raised questions.
After being cleared to pitch, Manoa will join the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons organization. He plans to go through the buildup process again since he’s been out of action.
While he builds up, Bowden Francis or Trevor Richards, both of whom can digest more than two innings, will take over the starting role if there is a hole in the Toronto rotation, according to Sportsnet.
Manoa, who finished third in American League Cy Young Award voting in 2022 with a 2.24 ERA in 196 2/3 innings pitched, has been in a 180-degree different situation this season.
In 19 games and 87 1/3 innings, he went 3-9 with a 5.87 ERA. With a 1.740 WHIP, 1.5 home runs per nine innings, 6.1 walks, and 8.1 strikeouts per nine innings, it’s hard to see him as a major league starter.
He was demoted to the minors once in the middle of the season to make adjustments to his pitches, but he didn’t show much improvement.
He was eventually sent back to Triple-A when Ryu returned and settled into the starting rotation.
Ryu wasted nearly two weeks of his time after his demotion, as he didn’t have enough time to make an immediate impact. It’s unlikely he’ll be able to regain his form for the rest of the season.
